Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
Dynamic NFTs
Dynamic NFTs expand upon the concept of NFTs by enabling such tokens to evolve and change over time as determined by real-world events or verifiable randomness delivered by oracles. Compared to static NFTs, which do not change after minting, dynamic NFTs can change in rarity and utility over time, providing a gamified experience to collecting NFTs.
NFT Yield Farming
The RSIC (Rune Specific Inscription Circuit) project combines Bitcoin Ordinals NFTs with yield farming for Rune tokens. Holders of the 21,000 RSIC "runic" NFTs will be able to earn a share of 21 billion Rune tokens through a raffle system after the launch. This blends the worlds of NFTs and fungible tokens on Bitcoin.
Artifact NFTs
Following the concept of Ordinals inscribing data on sats, Runes could allow the tokenization of historical artifacts, documents, and records as unique tokens on Bitcoin. This creates an immutable decentralized archive on the most secure blockchain. The key advantages of Bitcoin Runes are its efficient UTXO model, minimal blockchain footprint, Lightning Network compatibility for faster transactions, and the ability to bring fungible tokens and all their possibilities natively to Bitcoin's ecosystem. While still early, Runes has sparked excitement for expanding Bitcoin's utility beyond a store of value.
